A little bird tells me that there are loads of nice items on sale in Hammondsport this weekend! We are hoping you all can come out this weekend and enjoy the Hammondsport antiques scene!! Opera House Antiques and Crooked Lake Antiques are holding a Cabin Fever event Saturday, Sunday and Monday!! Please visit them – you never know what you might find. NORITAKE

Here is a beautiful and rare piece (of Green Mark) Noritake.

This would make a lovely gift, or if you have a daughter like I do, start a Hope Chest for her!  I started a Hope Chest for my daughter a few years ago. As I come across lovely pieces I put them away for her. It is amazing how appreciated a Hope Chest can be whenever she sets up a home of her own. What a lovely way to say, I LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Many Hope Chest items are passed down from generation to generation. I have the beautiful Haviland tea set that my grandmother received as a wedding gift in 1921, as well as many fine linens that have been passed down to me. I treasure these items as a link to my beloved grandmother. It is never too late to start, and the items do not have to be expensive, just well thought about.
